Despite his lack of real-world combat experience, Raiden is able to successfully dispatch key members of Dead Cell and save Big Shell from being demolished. He is given several mission objectives which include the rescue of the United States President. FOXHOUND, under the command of Colonel Campbell, dispatched a rookie agent codenamed "Snake." After "Snake" successfully infiltrates the Big Shell, his codename is changed to "Raiden", to avoid confusion with the enemy leader. Being lead by a man calling himself Snake, Dead Cell threatened to blow up the Big Shell unless an astronomical ransom was paid. Soon after construction was complete, the President of the United States himself toured the facility and was taken hostage in a surprise attack by members of a rogue special force unit called Dead Cell. A massive, floating, off-shore clean-up facility, known as the Big Shell, was quickly constructed to mitigate this pollution. Just this morning, I got an email from somebody saying, “We’re so sorry that we haven’t returned your email. There is a check box for each, so as we continue to meet with the client, we can review the progress that everyone has made. This checklist is given to clients and it includes a timeline of who needs to do what and by what date the implementation item needs to be done. Within that summary document, we present our implementation checklist ( download sample checklist). Of course, we’d love the process to be four neat and concise consecutive meetings, but typically it’s probably six meetings before clients actually have our written summary and before they pay the second half of our retainer, because we want to make sure they’re satisfied with the plan. In the final step, we present the blueprint, the written summary of their financial plan. And then we give our preliminary suggestions. In the third step, we do what we call “uncovering the disconnects.” We go over their goals, the data, and we present any disconnects we’ve uncovered. That’s us confirming that we have all the appropriate data. And that’s where MoneyGuide Pro comes into play, because we can input everything from insurance to pensions to Social Security to all their investments, and it does asset allocation, risk management, and estate planning. The second step involves reviewing and analyzing all of the hard data that someone has given us. And we review and update goals throughout the years, making sure they are still the things that are important to them. That reminds them that we are really paying attention to what is important to them. When they come back in for the second meeting, they actually see their goals up on the screen. We do a lot of work up front, uncovering what’s important to the client. We would sit in my office and I would certainly have MoneyGuide Pro up, but we would also cover the first stage of our process, which is called the “mutual alignment agreement.” This first step is all about goals. Let’s say we were walking a client through the process from the beginning. Of course, this software is part of a bigger planning process we use. The 4-step Financial Clarity Advantage planning process It’s on a wall mount so I can move it depending on where we’re sitting. ![]() So I’ve actually put a big screen TV in my own personal office. Here’s another benefit: Normally, in couples, one of the clients is more engaged than the other. When the client comes in, we just walk through it and I change certain items that may be of interest to them, run the analysis, and show them how it affects their long-term numbers. And each time we meet, there are things that we’re changing, not just their ages and the markets, but goals, needs, concerns. It really helps clients understand that financial planning is a process, not a transaction. But now, I’ll do the input interactively I’ll pull up MoneyGuide Pro and show it on the TV screen and input data in front of my clients and walk them through the planning. Previously, I would input clients’ data ahead of time and show them a printed version of the document generated through MoneyGuide Pro. In my new location, we have a large conference room where we can hook up a laptop so that it shows on a large TV screen. We call our financial planning process the Financial Clarity Advantage. ![]() ![]() For this reason, large cordless shears may require 20V batteries while measuring instruments may only require 12V cells for adequate performance. Tasks that use more torque need batteries with a higher voltage to complete the toughest jobs. Some cordless tools require more power than others. They don’t require the same maintenance as other batteries, and they can be recharged even after short periods of usage without damaging the cell’s performance. Li-Ion batteries, like those used in the DEWALT® cordless combo kits, are preferred in top-rated cordless tools because of their efficient energy discharge and their high storage capacity. They don’t require power-cycling to sustain performance over time, and they self-discharge less during storage. This happened because Li-Ion batteries store energy with greater efficiency than NiCd and NiMH batteries. These batteries rely on a more formidable technology than the other models, and it quickly grew into widespread usage among all cordless tools. Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries came after both NiCd and NiMH technologies. They also store energy more efficiently than NiCd batteries. While many types of batteries lose their voltage as they discharge, NiMH batteries sustain their voltage over long periods of use. NiCd batteries handle this especially well, and you can store them with no charge without losing efficiency. NiCd and NiMH batteries both allow users to use the full capacity of the battery without damaging future performance. Some batteries should be discharged deeply before recharging. Both of these battery technologies allow you to recharge between uses, and both come with similar benefits. Modern nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries came later. There are three different types of batteries used in the best cordless tools: Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteriesĬonsumer-grade nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries were among the first released into widespread usage. A hammer drill is a good example of a tool that benefits from a higher voltage. Tools with higher voltages may perform more effectively when used for heavy-duty applications, and they tend to cost a little extra. Understanding how battery voltage differences affect cordless tool performance will help you choose the right options. It runs on the same voltage batteries regardless of whether that battery advertises 3AH or 5AH, but a 20V battery with 5AH will allow you to use the cordless tool for significantly longer before it runs out of juice. More intense applications will benefit from batteries with higher AH ratings, allowing for a longer use with less frequent recharging.įor example, consider a cordless grinder that runs on 20V batteries. Check the AH ratings when you need to compare different batteries. These ratings differ depending on manufacturer and application but work as general indicators when comparing similar products. Some types of batteries lose voltage during discharge while others remain mainly stable.Īmp-hour (AH) ratings determine how long a battery holds a charge during use. Batteries with higher voltages work with more powerful cordless tools and provide the energy required for most high-torque applications. Voltage measures the battery’s energy, and amperes measure current. While a battery’s electrical potential is called “voltage”, the term “current” signifies the amount of electricity moving through a circuit.Ĭonsider voltage and amp-hours when you research specific batteries and during cordless tool comparisons. ![]() It signifies the maximum energy potential of a battery and serves as a necessity to produce an electric current.
